ETHICAL PRACTICES
IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SURVEY
FMI and CMAA, prodded and assisted by Integribuild, recently released the results of an ethical practices in the construction industry survey and the findings are nothing short of jaw-dropping.
The cost of unethical behavior
costs owners and contractors between $5,000 and $50,000
for every $1,000,000 spent - that means that globally,
industry-wide unethical behavior in our industry is
a $40 billion problem.
85% of the respondents say there should be an industry-wide code of ethics.
93% of the respondents want more training on ethics.
84% said that, in the last year, they had "experienced, encountered, or
observed industry-related acts or transactions that they would consider unethical."
